Joseph Cote

Joseph PL “Paul” Cote I, 82, long time resident of Northern Idaho, passed away on June 6, 2017 in Silverton, Idaho. He was born May 1, 1935 in Manchester, New Hampshire to Leo and Jeannette (Bourque) Cote. Joseph celebrated 62 years of marriage to Christina G. Cote last month.
Paul and Chris have three children, Joe Cote of Smelterville, Mary J. Abbott of Orlando, Florida and Curtis Cote of Kingston; thirteen grandchildren, on step-grandaughter and five great-grandchildren.
Paul served in the U.S. Air Force in the mid 1950s as a Fire and Rescue fireman during the United States ramp up to the Space Race in 1955. After the Air force, Joe learned the trade of mason and mastered the skill, but gold was always his passion and in the early 1960s the Cote Family moved from the greater Los Angeles area to Wallace and finally settled at Carbon Center. Paul was also known as Joe and we called him Dad; he will be missed.
