John “Baseball” Steven Lunsford, 45, of Pinehurst, Idaho passed away on April 24, 2015 at his home in Pinehurst. Baseball was born September 13, 1969 in Silverton, Idaho; he was the son of Grady and Patricia (Bouttu) Lunsford.
Baseball regularly attended the Silver Valley Assembly of God Church in Kellogg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed baseball and boxing. Baseball was a certified boxing coach and he greatly enjoyed coaching and mentoring kids in boxing. Baseball attended culinary school and loved cooking for and having large family gatherings.
Baseball is survived by his mother Patricia Lunsford of Pinehurst; his children Jaycee and Tanner of Winchester, Idaho; one brother Terry Lunsford of Pinhurst; sisters GiGi (Kurt) Thor of Pinehurst, Laurie (Bryan) Spencer of Pinehurst and Kristi (Royce) Parent of Post Falls. Baseball is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his close friends Pat Baldwin and Krista Kirby. He is preceded in death by his father and both sets of his grandparents.
A celebration of Baseball’s life will be held on May 4, 2015, 11a.m. at the Silver Valley Assembly of God, 321 S. Division Street, Kellogg.
