John H. Giachino, 41

John H. Giachino, 41, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away October 19, 2016.  He was born March 7, 1975 in Spokane, Washington; John was the son of David and Diane (Brass) Giachino.

John has lived in the Silver Valley for most of his life.  He attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1993.  John furthered his education and attended the North Idaho College.

John served in the U.S. Marines, as well as, the U.S. Army.

John married Deborah “Debbie” Young on May 5, 2014 in Martinez, California.

John had first worked for Polla’s Gas Mart of Mullan for three years and was a newspaper carrier for the Spokesman.  He then worked for Zanetti Brothers and Bandz Company of Smelterville.  When he moved to the Priest River area, he worked for Badger Building, Stimson Lumber Company and the Riley Creek Lumber Company of Laclede.  When John resided in California, he worked for the USS Posco Steel Mill of Pittsburg, California as a millwright.  After moving back to the Silver Valley, he worked for Building Maintenance of Wallace and had lastly served as an apprentice brew master for the Wallace Brewing Company.

John was a member of the Steelworkers Union #1440.  He loved and enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, wood gathering, motorcycle and dirt bike riding and was an avid Seattle Seahawks fan.

John is survived by his wife Deborah “Debbie” Giachino of the family home of Wallace; seven children Emma, Ethan, Chelsea, Ariel, Taylor, Vanessa and Justin; two grandchildren Bridgett, Robbie and one grandchild on the way named Makenna; John’s parents Diane (Gary) VanBroeke of Wallace and David (Sana) Giachino of Mullan; three brothers Bruce, Keith and Randy; two sisters Laurie and Anna; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  John was preceded in death by his sister Jeanine and two brothers John and Ryan.

Private Family Memorial Services were held.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone County Crisis and Resource Center, 415 Seventh Street, Suite 1, Wallace, Idaho 83873.
