Joe Camron Lancaster, 75

Joe Cameron Lancaster, 75, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away February 12, 2019 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born July 10, 1943 in Picher, Oklahoma; the son of Hubert and Lois (Hodges) Lancaster.

Joe attended and graduated from Kellogg High School. He later went on to serve in the United States Army.

Joe married Josie Bailey in 1968, to which they had three wonderful children: Tarena, Richard, and Jason.

Joe began working as a firefighter for the City of Wallace. He then worked at the Sunshine Mine for over 15 years. Joe later worked for Buck Knives for the remainder of his career.

Joe then married Myrtle Milan in April of 1993.

Joe was a member of the Comancheros Car Club for over 20 years. He was the proud owner of his beloved ’57 Chevy, which was one of his most favorite hobbies. Joe also loved to fish, camp, and had quite a knack for vegetable gardening.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Tarena (Josh) Wadsworth of Post Falls, Idaho; his sons, Richard (Debra) Lancaster of Pinehurst, Idaho and Jason (Trisha) Lancaster of Spokane, Washington; his sister, Kay Pellens of Kingston, Idaho; his four grandchildren; Jaden, Chealyn, Joshua, and Chloee; his three great-grandchildren: ElleAna, Aubri, and Estella; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his adoring dog, Sparky. He was preceded in death by both parents, Hubert and Lois; his step-father, Wayno Santi; and his wife, Myrtle.

There will be a memorial service held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Art Fleming officiating. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Shoshone Pet Rescue: P.O. Box 884, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
