Jerry Allan Hill

Jerry Allan Hill, 67, of Kingston, Idaho passed away into the loving embrace of Jesus on March 18, 2025. Jerry was born in Kellogg, Idaho to George and Helen Hill. He grew up in Kingston with his siblings, older brother Rocky, younger sister Cheryl, and gained a brother when Cheryl married Ted Baldwin. Jerry graduated from Kellogg High School and joined the Coast Guard Reserves.

Jerry met and married his wife Jenny Cleave, on June 27, 1981. They had three beautiful children. Their oldest son Jesse was born on June 16, 1983. Their middle son Joshua was born on May 27, 1988. The youngest son, Justin, was born on June 10, 1991. Jerry gained two daughters when Jesse married Angela Hardy in 2003, and Justin married Alice Trottier in 2016. Jerry loved his family and had the biggest heart when it came to helping others. Jerry never hesitated to lend a helping hand and often put others before himself. Even when Jerry had little, he always found a way to leave a hidden surprise, to lift you up, and help you in tough times. If you knew Jerry, you undoubtedly experienced laughter and joy because of him.

Jerry found himself surrounded with loving grandchildren: Shayla, Riley, Finley, Jaxon, and Grayson Hill. He was their biggest fan at sporting games, concerts, graduations, and other activities. He was deeply proud to be their Grandpa.

Jerry loved spending time with his family outdoors and camping. He also enjoyed gardening and landscaping for others to delight in with him.

During his lifetime Jerry held a variety of jobs. Jerry spent 10 years working with Coeur Mining in the Silver Valley, he then shifted to working in real estate where he really excelled. Jerry loved it so much he became a partner in his own firm. Jerry then enjoyed working with a family member, Steve Hardy, to manage Jiffy Lube before enjoying his retirement. Once retired, he enjoyed camping, gardening, and landscaping and spending time with his family. Jerry loved to play games with friends and family, whether it be board games, yard games or virtual games. He really enjoyed evenings with his cousin, Danny Bumgardner, playing virtual bowling. Jerry was also very devoted to caring for “his boys”, beloved cats, Milo, and Max.

Jerry is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, Betty “Mom” Mercado & family.

Jerry lived a full life and was surrounded by so many people who loved him. Jerry is deeply missed, by all of us, yet we find peace in knowing that he is now with our great and merciful Creator, whose grace and mercy are far beyond our understanding. We take comfort in knowing he has been reunited with his loved ones who will now look after him for us.

A brief graveside service for his family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, 2:00 PM at Hunt Cemetery in Kingston, ID.
