Irma Loretta Connors, 96
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Irma Loretta Connors, 96, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away June 22, 2018 at the Schneidmiller House (Hospice House) of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born June 2, 1922 in Venturia, North Dakota; Irma was the daughter of Balthasar and Eva (Dockter) Iszler.
Irma attended and graduated from the Ashley High School of Ashley, North Dakota in 1941.
Irma married Tom Rowe Connors on September 12, 1948 in Ashley, North Dakota. Tom passed away in August of 1974.
Irma moved to the Silver Valley in 1957 from Spokane, Washington.
Irma had worked at the Hutton’s Department Store of Kellogg for eleven years; she then worked for the First Security Bank of Kellogg for ten years; she retired from the bank in 1987.
Irma was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg, the Church Bible Study group, the Church Quilters, the Altar Guild and the Lutheran World Relief. She was also a member of the Kellogg Lady Elks, the Esther Rebekah Lodge, the Pythian Sisters, the Grandmothers Club, the Birthday Club, a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans Gold Star Wives and a member of a Senior Exercise group. Irma was also a four-time cancer survivor and a member of the Silver Valley Relay for Life.
Irma loved and enjoyed her family, quilting and reading.
Irma is survived by five children Dale (Roylene) Connors of Portland, Oregon, Thomas (Beth) Connors of Spokane, Washington, Sabra Anderson of Kellogg, Michael (Christie) Connors of St. George, Utah and Patrick (Linda) Connors of Newberg, Oregon; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister Arlone Binder of Beaverton, Oregon; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, two brothers Otto and Albert Iszler, three sisters Emma, Mary and Helen and one grandson Derek Connors.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at the American Lutheran Church of Kellogg with Rev. Alec Rivera officiating. Interment will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg. A reception/luncheon will be held at the Kellogg Elks following services; everyone is welcome.
