Beloved father, brother and uncle, Hank Jefferson Jr, 71, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away March 29, 2014 at his home. He was born July 19, 1942 in Santa Monica, California; Hank was the son of Henry Sr. and Mary Lea (Owen) Jefferson.
Hank moved to the Silver Valley in 1965 from California.
Hank worked for the Galena Mine for 30 years as a welder and fabricator. He later went to work for Northwest Mine Supply, where he retired.
Hank was a member of the Elks Lodge in Wallace, Idaho. He also was a member of the Central Mine Rescue and was a judge for the Coeur d’Alene District Mining contest. He enjoyed fishing and loved watching his son Chad play golf. He also enjoyed drinking coffee with the boys at the Osburn City Garage.
Hank is survived by; his son Chad (Kimberly) Jefferson of Wallace, Idaho; sister Patricia Jefferson of Sebastopol, California; he is also survived by a niece Julie Coveney and nephew Brian Coveney both of Anthem, California. Hank was proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Linda Coveney.
Cremation will be held and a gathering for family and friends will be held at the 1313 Club in Wallace, Idaho on Friday April 18th at 5:00P.M.
The family suggests that donations in Hanks name may be made to the Wallace High School golf team.
