Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Helen Hayes James, 99, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away March 3, 2014 at her home of Pinehurst. She was born March 1, 1915 in Dierks, Arkansas; Helen was the daughter of Payton Matthew and Mary Ann (Modisette) Price.
Helen attended and graduated from the Vandervoort High School of Vandervoort, Arkansas.
Helen married Kenneth E. James on June 3, 1935 in Mena, Arkansas; Kenneth passed away on March 2, 1992. Helen and Kenneth moved to the Silver Valley in 1939 from Vandervoort.
Helen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Helen loved and enjoyed gardening, taking walks and politics. She was a wonderful and much loved mother and grandmother.
Helen is survived by three children Sue Perry of Vancouver, Washington, Dennis James of Yuma, Arizona and Ken James of Pinehurst; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, one grandson Danny James, three brothers and four sisters.
Private Family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst, Idaho.
