Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Gordon Thomas Hall, 82, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away on July 29, 2016 of cardiac arrest at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. He was born on July 24, 1934 in Vancouver, British Columbia; Gordon was the son of Thomas John and Dulcie (Burmeister) Hall.
Gordon moved to the Silver Valley as a young child. He grew up here, attended school in Kellogg and has lived here his entire life. Gordon is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Sally Martin on May 25, 1956 in Coeur d’Alene.
Gordon worked for Sverdsten Logging before venturing into the partnership of Young Hall Logging and eventually starting Hall Logging. Most recently and until his retirement just last year, he worked as a dump truck driver for DG&S.
He was a member of the Kellogg Elks. Gordon was a hard worker and always busy, he enjoyed working in his shop and around his property.
Gordon was very much loved and will be greatly missed by his loving family; his wife of over 60 years, Sally Hall of the family home in Pinehurst; three sons, Jeff Hall of California, Warren (Cyndee) Hall of Cataldo, and Brad (Dorothy) Hall of Pine Creek; one sister Lorraine Grant of Coeur d’Alene; one uncle, Harry (Donna) Burmeister; four grandchildren, Aimee, Mark (Angaleka), T.J.(Krista) and Jame (Alicia); one great-grandchild, Ashten, 5 step great-grandchildren, Allysia, Charlize, Elle, Gavin and Jayme; 1 step great-great grandson Kyten; and numerous cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 11:00A.M. at the Mountain View Congregational Church in Kellogg. A Graveside committal with Navy Honors will be held following the service at Greenwood Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends for a light lunch and refreshments will be held at the Kellogg Elks following the graveside.
