Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Francis “Frank“ William Frago, 79, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away December 11, 2015. He was born in Sonoma, California on March 11, 1936 to Frank and Alice (Smith) Frago.
Frank grew up in Sonoma and graduated from Sonoma Valley Union High School. Soon after graduation he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Korea. After returning home he attended Santa Rosa Junior College.
Frank worked as a senior psychiatric ward supervisor at Sonoma State Hospital, where he met and later married Claudia Markwick. They along with son Clifford Rehart moved to Fort Bragg, California where Frank worked in rail shipping and as a construction Millwright for Georgia Pacific until his retirement in March 1998, when he and Claudia moved to Pinehurst, Idaho.
In February 2012, Frank met and married Betty Gibson in Kellogg, Idaho and relocated to the Rathdrum area, where he resided until his death.
Frank held offices and presidency of the woodworkers local and was a member of the IAMAW lodge 469. He was also a member of the Mendocino County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse.
Frank is survived by his wife, Betty Gibson of Rathdrum; his son Steven (Rachel) Frago of Shoreline, Washington; his daughter Karen (Carl) Koskinen of Fort Bragg; and three grandchildren Joel, Bryon and Michael Frago. He is preceded in death by his parents; former wife Claudia; son Clifford Rehart III; brother Edwin Blasier and sister Harriet Ebert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, 1:00P.M. at St. George’s Catholic Church, 2010 N. Lucas Street in Post Falls, Idaho with Father Tim Ritchey officiating. A reception will follow at Frank and Betty’s home at 11517 N. Sunrise Court, Rathdrum, Idaho.
