Everett “E” Lee Gust, Jr,, 66, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away May 30, 2014 at the family home of Pinehurst. He was born April 5, 1948 in Wallace, Idaho; Everett was the son of Everett L. and Stella (Valdez) Gust, Sr.

Everett attended schools in Wallace, Idaho and Spokane, Washington. He has lived in the Silver Valley for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era.

Everett’s lifetime occupation was a truck driver and he had worked for several companies before owning and operating Everett Gust Hauling.

Everett was a member of the Kellogg Elks #1841. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; he adored his grandchildren Hannah and Sam and had some very special times with them. Everett also enjoyed fishing, hunting and he loved to dance. He was a real cowboy; Everett was an avid roper and had competed in rodeos; he so loved his horses. Everett lived life to the utmost and will be so very much missed by his beloved Melba, family and friends.

Everett is survived by the love of his life of twenty years Melba Bencich of the family home of Pinehurst; his daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Tommy Brown of Spokane, Washington; two grandchildren Hannah and Sam Brown of Spokane; two brothers Wayne (Becky) Gust of Liberty Lake, Washington and Duane (Linda) Gust of Spokane; three sisters Charlene (Ron) Anton of Portland, Oregon, Gwen (Ken) Huck of Spokane and Susie (John) Holbrook of Bremerton, Washington; Everett is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Cia Valdez.

A Celebration of Everett’s Life will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014, at 1:00 P.M. at the Silver Valley Worship Center of Smelterville, Idaho with Pastor Corey Berti officiating. A reception/luncheon for family and friends will be held at the Kellogg Elks following services.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Mayo Clinic for Research, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, Minnesota 55905.
