Evelyn “Eve” Adell Garitone, 96

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Evelyn “Eve” Adell Garitone, 96, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away July 15, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society- Silver Wood Village of Silverton, Idaho.  She was born July 17, 1919 in Kellogg, Idaho; Evelyn was the daughter of John and Marge (Hartshorn) Rowley.

Evelyn has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.  She attended schools in Omak, Washington and Kellogg, Idaho.

Evelyn married Gene Garitone on June 4, 1938 in Superior, Montana; they were married for sixty-seven years.  Gene passed away on July 14, 2005.

Along with her husband Gene, Evelyn was co-owner and operator of the Garitone’s Grocery Store of Mullan for 50 years.  She also made delicious and beautiful wedding and birthday cakes for family and friends.

Evelyn was a member of the Esther Rebekah Lodge of Mullan and a member of the Womens’ Bowling League of Mullan.

Evelyn so loved and enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; she also loved gardening, huckleberry picking, cooking, baking and camping at the lake.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved family- four children Ron (Kay) Garitone of Wallace, Idaho, Mike (Nancy) Garitone of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Gary (Kris) Garitone of Mullan, Idaho and Pam (Tom) Carrico of Mullan, Idaho; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters Ida Kincaid of Tacoma, Washington and Dorothy Johnson of Kingston, Idaho; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gene and fifteen brothers and sisters.

Private Family Memorial Services will be held.

The Family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Good Samaritan Society- Silver Wood Village, for their love and wonderful care that was shown to our beloved Evelyn and to her family.
