Evelyn Estrella Cecil, 87
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister, Evelyn Estrella Cecil, 87, of Spokane, Washington (formerly of Mullan and Osburn, Idaho), went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on January 24, 2017 at the Sacred Heart Medical Center of Spokane, Washington. She was born July 29, 1929 in Landusky, Montana; Evelyn was the daughter of Aloysius and Eldora (Dobbs) Kolczak.
Evelyn attended schools in Montana. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1952. In 1982, Evelyn moved to Mammoth, Arizona, where she lived for twelve years. Then in 1998, she moved to Spokane, Washington to live with her daughter and son-in-law Berni and Rich Baldwin.
Evelyn first married Harry A. Noordam; they later divorced. She then married William G. Wilke; they later divorced. In May of 1975, Evelyn married William “Bernard” Cecil in Wallace, Idaho; Bernard passed away in 1987.
Evelyn was a homemaker, but had also served as a waitress working at several restaurants in Mullan and Wallace.
Evelyn was a member of the Awanas Club and a member of the Grace Evangelical Free Church of Osburn.
Evelyn loved and enjoyed her family, reading, suduko puzzles, gardening, embroidery and cross stitch work. She was an avid Mariners and Gonzaga fan!!!
Evelyn is survived by her six children Gloria and Don Ravert of Des Moines, Washington, Harry C. and Sonny Noordam of Copperas Cove, Texas, Judy and Donald Kirby of Tucson, Arizona, Dale and Carol Noordam of Mullan, Idaho, Marilyn Hummel of Tucson, Arizona and Berni and Rich Baldwin of Spokane, Washington; twenty-six grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers Pete Kolczak and Family of Landusky, Montana, Ralph Kolczak and Family of Tucson, Arizona; one sister Anita Clouse & Family of Mammoth, Arizona; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard Cecil, one grandson Brian Hummel, her brothers and sisters John Kolczak, Ruth Baillie, Diane Holzhey, Tom Kolczak and Jerry Kolczak.
A visitation/viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel; everyone is welcome. A Celebration of Evelyn’s Life for family and friends will be held and announced this Summer.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation, P.O. Box 96262, Washington, D.C. 20090 or to the Shoshone Humane Society, P.O. Box 1005, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
