Eva Walker

Eva Mae Walker, 89, of Post Falls, Idaho passed away October 23, 2014 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d‘ Alene, Idaho. She was born September 1, 1925 in Milo, Missouri; Eva was the daughter of Cleo and Henrietta (Jones) Jenkins.

Eva attended and graduated from high school in New York City, New York.

She moved to the Silver Valley from Hastings, Nebraska in October of 1956.

Eva worked as a waitress in several restaurants in the Silver Valley.

Eva was united in marriage to Andrew “Bud” Walker on November 19, 1943 in Joplin Missouri. Andrew proceeded her in death on June 20, 1982.

Eva was a member of the Kellogg Senior Center and attended church in Cataldo. In her free time she enjoyed reading, embroiling and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and going out to eat with friends.

Eva is survived by her six siblings Sue (Ed) Christmann of Post Falls, Idaho, Elizabeth (Mark) Young of Post Falls, Idaho, Calvin (Donna) Walker of Kellogg, Idaho, Ernest Jenkins, of Hastings, Nebraska, Frankie (Mary Sue) Jenkins, of Joplin, Missouri and Elvis (Charlotte) Jenkins. Of Caldwell, Idaho. Eva is survived by three grandchildren Donnie Ray Walker Jr., of Kellogg, Idaho, Andy Walker, of Kellogg, Idaho and Robert Walker, of Phoenix, Arizona, a son-in-law Cliff Shiner, of Kellogg, Idaho; She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew, there two children Nancy Shiner and Donnie Walker, daughter-in-law Candice Howard Walker, and siblings Evelyn Petrich, Alvin Jenkins and Dean Jenkins.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel with Pastor Art Fleming officiating. Inurnment will take place at the Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg, Idaho.
