Elmer E. Wright, 98

Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Elmer E. Wright, 98, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away April 29, 2016 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho.  He was born February 6, 1918 on the family homestead at Latour Creek near Cataldo, Idaho; Elmer was the son of William and Hilda (Niemi) Wright.

Elmer has lived in this area all of his life.  He married Marion Louise Golsong on February 26, 1944 in Kingston, Idaho; they were married for seventy years.  Marion passed away July 4, 2014.

Elmer had first served as a millwright at the Page Mine until its closure.  He then served as a millwright at the Galena Mine, until his retirement.

Elmer was a charter member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge #1841; a charter member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church of Pinehurst; and a member of the Good Sam Campers Club.  He also was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop #323 Committee- helping with activities and events for the boy scouts.

Elmer and Marion loved traveling and had enjoyed special trips to the Panama Canal, a European cruise, as well as, an Alaskan cruise.  They also enjoyed their winter trips to Yuma, Arizona.  After retirement, Elmer and Marion, along with their Good Sam Camper friends explored the country side in their RV.  In their later years, their son Dennis and daughter-in-law Amy would help them to travel to their favorite camping spots.  Elmer loved and enjoyed his family and helping Dennis and Amy on their ranch.

Elmer is survived by his beloved family two children Johnnell (Chris) Bitterman of Post Falls, Idaho; Dennis (Amy) Wright of Cataldo, Idaho; four grandchildren John (Missy) Wright, Michael (Loretta) Wright, Brian Putnam, and Francine (Justin) Smith; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Neil (Pat) Wright of Spokane Valley, Washington; Elmer is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marion, and three brothers.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at the Our Savior Lutheran Church of Pinehurst, Idaho with Rev. Ken Bartle officiating.  A reception/luncheon will be held at the Church following services.  Inurnment will be held at 2:00 P.M., at the Hunt Cemetery of Kingston, Idaho.
