Edwin “Gene” Field, 85, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away January 27, 2014 at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg. He was born October 2, 1928 in Malta, Montana; Gene was the son of Eddie “Pat” and Olive “Polly” (Foster) Field.

Gene moved to the Silver Valley at the age of eight years old. He married Beverly (Lyons) on February 4, 1950 in Kellogg, Idaho; Beverly passed away in March of 2003.

Gene had served as a machinist for the Bunker Hill Mining Company for thirty plus years.

Gene was a member of the Mountain View Congregational Church of Kellogg. He loved wood working, gardening, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Gene is survived by three children Sherrie (Jim) Richardson of Kingston, Idaho, Rick (Cathy) Field of Kingston, and Wendy (Hal) Lamphere of Kellogg; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister Dorothy (Mitt) Robbins of Pasco, Washington; Gene is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Beverly.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg. Inurnment will be held at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Real Life Benevolence, 109 N. Division Street Pinehurst, Idaho 83850.
