Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Dova Jones Hughes, 83, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, passed away April 5, 2015 at The Lodge of Coeur d’ Alene. She was born February 12, 1932 in Fort Hall, Idaho; Dova was the daughter of Evan and Una (Frasure) Jones.
Dova attended schools in Fort Hall, Idaho. She moved to Wendover, Nevada in 1948, where she met her beloved future husband Max. Dova married the love of her life, Max Doyle Hughes on March 3, 1949 in Elko, Nevada; they were married for 65 years. In 1950, Dova and Max moved to Soda Springs, Idaho, where they resided until 2003, when they then moved to Nampa, Idaho.
Dova was a homemaker. She also owned and operated along with Max, the Hughes Trailer Park in Soda Springs, Idaho, for twenty years.
Dova was a member and past Fellowship Leader of the Soda Springs Presbyterian Church and a member of the Oregon Trail Country Club, also of Soda Springs. She had also served and volunteered as an EMT.
Dova loved and enjoyed her family, golfing, quilting, fishing, camping and traveling around the world; she also enjoyed playing cards especially pinochle and was a member of a bridge club.
After Max passed away on September 18, 2013, Dova moved to Northern Idaho in 2014, to be near her children.
Dova is survived by three children Linda (Kurt) DeHart of Yuma, Arizona; Ronald (Debbie) Hughes of Spokane, Washington; and Debbie (Bob) Cameron of Kellogg, Idaho; six grandchildren Kyle Herret, Mike Herret, Kendra Holland, Taylor Hughes, Cy Hughes and Angie Dennis; ten great-grandchildren; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dova was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Max, one daughter Carol, one grandson Tim Peterson, five sisters and three brothers.
Inturnment Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Moreland Cemetery of Moreland, Idaho; everyone is welcome.
