Douglas Smith

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Douglas “Butch“ Allan Smith, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away July 18, 2015 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg, Idaho. He was born June 18, 1961 in Redwood City, California. Butch was the son of Alfred and Judith (Webb) Schumacker.

Butch moved to the Silver Valley in 1979 and went to work for the mines.

Butch married his first wife Eileen Robinette on August 30, 1980 in Wallace, Idaho. They later divorced. He then went on to meet Lisa Anderson and on June 6, 2006 was united in marriage at the Hitch N Post in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. .

Butch loved the outdoors and enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going huckleberry picking and spending time in the woods. Butch enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

Butch is survived by his wife Lisa Smith of Mullan, Idaho, two children; Shalisa Smith of Wallace, Idaho, Martin (Kirsten) Smith of North Carolina; a step-daughter Kristen (Dustin) Drake of Mullan, Idaho; three grandchildren Hunter, Wyatt and Madison. He is also survived by two siblings Chipper (Tammy) Smith of Priest River, Idaho and Linda Webb of Wichita Falls, Texas and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Judy Smith and a baby brother Ray.

Cremation will take place and private family services will be held at a later date.
