Doris JaJuan Butler, 83
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Doris “Jo“ Butler, 83, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away December 29, 2016 at Hospice House in Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho. She was born October 5, 1933 in Causey, New Mexico; Doris was the daughter of Clarence and Tommie (Pyeatt) Watson.
On August 4, 1951 Doris was united in marriage to Billy Joe Butler in Roswell, New Mexico. Doris was a homemaker and together they raised five children. In 1997 the family moved to the Silver Valley from California.
Doris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of which she was a very active participant; she was also a member of the Red Hat Society. In her free time Doris enjoyed bowling, crocheting, sewing and was know as a wonderful cook. She loved spending time with her family and was an excellent mother.
Doris is survived by her beloved husband of over 65 years Bill Butler; three daughters, Kathy (John) Kory of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Janet (Don) Vestal of Edgerton, Kansas and Debra Cook of Kellogg, Idaho; two sons, Bill Butler of Kellogg, Idaho and James (Kristan) Butler of Steilacoom, Washington; one brother Ronny Watson of Farmington, New Mexico. Doris is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister LaRue Schenck.
A Funeral Service honoring Doris’s life will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 10:00A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pinehurst. A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following services. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery of Kellogg at 1:00P.M.
