Donna Rae Rude

Donna Rae Rude, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, of Osburn, ID, passed away on May 18, 2023 at Silverton Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia, Silverton, ID. Donna was born on December 31, 1931 to Ray and Mayme Anderson in a house they had built in Osburn, ID.

After graduating from Wallace High School, Class of 1950, she worked for Shoshone County in the Auditor and Recorders Office. On May 31, 1952, Donna married John Rude and started her new career of being a mother and raising four children.

When her children were older, she went back to work at the Wallace Elks Club and then First National Bank Center, Dr. E.E. Gnaedinger (her favorite job), Dr. Faith, and lastly the Kellogg Public Library. Out of all these though, the most fulfilling job for Donna was being a mother.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, John Rude; and two sisters, Joyce and Charlene.

Survivors include her children, Dan, Jerry, Laurie, and John Rude; grandchildren, Curtis Rude, Jennifer Rude, Michael Rude, and Zach Darrah; great-grandchildren, Max Rude and Adam Rude; a brother, Charles Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, 1:00 PM at American Lutheran Church, Kellogg with a reception at the church to follow the services.
