Donna “Delline” Elwood, 84

Donna “Delline” Elwood, 84, of Mullan, Idaho, passed away April 14, 2016 at the Good Samaritan- Silver Wood Village of Silverton.  She was born December 15, 1931 in Rapid City, South Dakota; Delline was the daughter of Earl and MayBelle Stotelmeyer.

Delline moved to Mullan when she was nine years old.  She married Kenneth J. “Buck” Elwood, Jr. on April 27, 1950.

Delline served as a switchboard operator in Mullan, in her younger years.  She was a member of the Esther Rebekah Lodge and a member of the Eagles.

Delline loved and enjoyed her family, camping and riding snowmobiles.  She especially enjoyed living in Montana at the Waterhole, when she and Buck retired.  After her beloved Buck passed away, she lived the rest of her life in Mullan near her son and family.  Delline had many animals in her lifetime and she loved all of them.

Delline is survived by her son Kenneth J. “Spike” Elwood III and his wife Cynthia of Mullan, Idaho; four grandchildren Kristina Larson and her husband Barry, Katie Vanhoose and her husband Matt, Andy Elwood and Felicia, and Nick Smith and his wife Denise; seven great-grandchildren Emma, Andrew, Peyton, Hank, Ollie, Liz and Mike; one sister RaNae Case and her husband John of Post Falls, Idaho; her niece Trish Case of Post Falls, Idaho.  Delline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth “Buck” Elwood, Jr. and one daughter Sussanah M. Elwood Smith.

A Celebration of Delline’s Life will be announced and held this Summer.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Mullan Volunteer Fire Department, c/o City of Mullan, P.O. Box 475, Mullan, Idaho 83846 or to the Shoshone Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 884, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
