Donald Taysom

June 2, 1958 — February 13, 2016

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Donald Jack Taysom, 57, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away February 13, 2016 at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho.  He was born June 2, 1958 in San Mateo, California; Don was the son of Donald Jack and Rose (Livermore) Taysom.

Don grew up in Carson City, Nevada. He graduated from Carson High School. In 1976 he was united in marriage to Isolde Hickman in Reno, Nevada. She preceded him in death in 2010.

Don and his brother owned and operated a roofing and siding business, Lifetime Roofing and Siding, for many years. Most recently he worked as the head mechanic at the Galena Mine.

Don loved fishing and hunting and held an archery record for mule deer. He also enjoyed motor cross and spending time with his family. Don was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was always there for his family.

Don is survived by his four children,  Zachary (Taylor) Taysom of Smelterville, Idaho, Kendra (Ryan Wheeler) Taysom of Spokane, Washington, Tyler (Kimber) Taysom of Kingston, Idaho, and Eva Taysom of Kingston; eight grandchildren,  Wyatt, Carson, Taylor, Jackson, Marie, Hayden, Brantley, and Khloe. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 32 years,  Isolde, his brother Ron Morton. Don’s second wife, Christina Taysom passed away on February 27, 2016.

A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., at the Osburn Seventh Day Adventist Church.
