Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Dona Marie Haushild, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away June 18, 2016 at the Hospice House of Coeur d‘Alene. She was born August 18, 1923 in Rapid City, South Dakota; Dona was the daughter of Frank and Lisle (Ross) Lovell.
Dona attended and graduated from Rapid City High School in 1942. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1942. Dona married Duane Virgil Haushild on November 8, 1942 in Kellogg.
Dona was a homemaker. She and Duane raised their children in Kellogg and later moved to Kingston.
Dona loved and enjoyed her family, camping, fishing, bowling and square dancing. She was also a talented crafter; Dona enjoyed knitting, crocheting and making ceramics.
Dona is survived by her beloved family, two children, Cordie (Frances) Haushild of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Lita (Denny) Perkins of Spokane, Washington; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Duane, and her sisters Stella Piipo and Frances Vasler.
Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
