Dennis Marvin Funke, 67
Dennis Marvin Funke, 67, of Kingston, Idaho passed away on October 11, 2016 at the Shoshone Medical Center of Kellogg. Dennis was born in Cottonwood, Idaho on January 22, 1949; Dennis was the son of Eugene and Cleo (Powers) Funke.
Dennis attend and graduated from St. Maries High School in 1967. Dennis went to work as a logger. He and his brother joined together and started Funke Brothers Logging.
In 1969 Dennis married Linda Baltz, they had met in high school, together they had two children Jeff and Dustin who were raised in Coeur d‘Alene, they later divorced. Years later Dennis went on to meet his companion and partner Dee Dee Deitz. They spent his remaining years together in Prichard, Idaho.
Dennis enjoyed riding four-wheelers and working on old cars. Two of his favorite cars were his Ford Model A and his 1940 Chevy Business Coupe.
Dennis is survived by his companion Dee Dee of the family home in Prichard, Idaho; two sons Jeff (Julie) Funke of Omaha, Nebraska and Dustin (Jaime) Funke of Hayden Lake, Idaho; his siblings Maurice Funke, Bob Funke, Debbie Funke and Marcelle Moe. Dennis is also survived by six grandchildren Joaquin, Luis, Samantha, Conner, Jordan and Sophia and numerous nieces and nephews. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Dennis’s life will be held on November 12, 2016 at the Hayden Lake Eagles located on West Wyoming Ave, Hayden, ID 83835 at 2:00P.M. This will be potluck and side dishes would be much appreciated.
