Dean Gallinger

Dean William Gallinger, 58

Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Dean William Gallinger, 58, of Osburn, Idaho, went to meet the Lord on August 4, 2018 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  He was born November 11, 1959 in Kellogg; Dean was the son of David Sr. and Nancy (Zanetti) Gallinger.

Dean attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1978.

Dean started working nightshift at the Coeur Mine at the age of 16.  He had worked in the mining industry for several years; mining was Dean’s passion.

Dean was a member of the NRA and had been a member of the Night Riders Snowmobile Club.  He lived his life to the fullest camping, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing with his beloved dog George.  First and foremost was his commitment to the Lord and his family.  Dean was very kind and giving to all.

Dean is survived by his mother Nancy Gallinger Homuth of Wallace; his brother Don (Marianne) Gallinger of Osburn; one sister Dee Ann Barker of Kellogg; his nephews and niece Jacob Barker of Coeur d’ Alene, Lucas Barker of Kellogg, Sam Barker of Kellogg; Lianne (Mike) Hague of Coeur d’ Alene and Marty (Jerrica) Gallinger of Rathdrum; one great-nephew Benjamin Gallinger of Rathdrum; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; his beloved dog George; his best friends Johnny and Teresa of Otis Orchards, Washington.  Dean was preceded in death by his father David Gallinger, Sr., his brother David Gallinger, Jr., his brother-in-law Mark Barker and his maternal grandparents Herb and Ruth Zanetti.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, August 10th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Osburn Cemetery of Osburn, Idaho with Pastor Corey Berti officiating.  A luncheon and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the home of Mike and Janet Howard following graveside services.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Silver Valley Seniors Meals On Wheels, P.O. Box 887 Osburn, Idaho 83849 or to the Wallace Miners Athletic Department, 1 Miners Alley, Wallace, Idaho 83873.
