Dawn Kay Elizabeth Monear, 57

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, Dawn Kay Elizabeth Monear, 57, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away September 14, 2016 at the family home of Moon Gulch- Kellogg.  She was born March 20, 1959 in Ellensburg, Washington; Dawn was the daughter of David and Maxine (Moulton) Syth.

Dawn attended schools in Libby, Montana.  She married Dale Monear on December 15, 1989 in Kalispell, Montana.

Dawn and Dale moved to the Silver Valley in 2003 from Deer Park, Washington.

Dawn had served as a dietary aide at the Mountain Valley Care & Rehabilitation of Kellogg for six years.

Dawn was a member of the Sequim Elks Club of Sequim, Washington.  She loved and enjoyed camping, tubing, crocheting, drawing, singing and especially enjoyed riding on the motorcycle with her husband Dale.

Dawn is survived by her beloved husband of twenty-six years Dale Monear of the family home of Moon Gulch- Kellogg, Idaho; five children Travice Shea of Sequim, Washington, Amber (Kyle) Ives of Kellogg, Jereme Monear of Sequim, Washington, Jennifer Monear of Great Falls, Montana and Dale (Becky) Monear, Jr. of Kellogg; seven grandchildren; her other Dad Lloyd Cunnington of Kalispell, Montana; five brothers Rick Syth of Winterville, North Carolina, Mark Syth of Deer Park, Washington, Derek Syth of Troy, Montana, Myron Cunnington of Deer Lodge, Montana and Kodi Cunnington of Kalispell, Montana; five sisters Lucinda Peeler of Ohio, Carla Cunnington of Kalispell, Montana, Sonya Alden of Kalispell, Montana, Michelle Cunnington of Kalispell and Jen Smith of Kalispell; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Verna, Lea and Staci and one brother Robert “Duncan”.

A Celebration of Dawn’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Cancer Resource Center, P.O. Box 261, Kellogg, Idaho 83837.
