David Merle Miller, II, 62
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and son, David Merle Miller, II, 62, of Rathdrum, Idaho (formerly of the Silver Valley) passed away August 1, 2016 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. He was born September 2, 1953 in Kellogg, Idaho; David was the son of David M. and Lorene (Reichert) Miller, Sr.
David attended schools in the Silver Valley. He had lived in the Silver Valley all of his life, until moving to Rathdrum in 2013.
David married Dee Sharp on January 29, 1980 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
David had served as an operating engineer for Central Premix of Spokane, Washington for twenty-one years, before retiring in 2010.
David was a former member of the Kellogg Elks. He loved and enjoyed his family, riding motorcycles, old cars and camping up the river. David was quite the jokester and will be dearly missed and was so very much loved.
David is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-six years Dee Miller of the family home of Rathdrum; two sons Daniel Miller of Rathdrum, Idaho, Johnny Dahl of Blanchard, Idaho; one grandson Tim Holbert of Wardner, Idaho; one granddaughter Abigail Miller of Rathdrum, Idaho; his father David M. Miller, Sr. of Rathdrum; his mother Lorene Miller of Spokane, Washington; he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by one son David M. Miller, III, two brothers Bill Miller, Melvin Miller and two sisters Linda Perze and Charlene Miller.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. at the Mountain View Congregational Church of Kellogg with Pastor Gary Truitt officiating. A reception/luncheon will be held at the church following services. David will be buried next to his son at the Shoshone Memorial Gardens of Pinehurst, Idaho.
