David Griffin

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, David Eugene Griffin, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away May 21, 2015 at his home of Pinehurst, Idaho. He was born April 21, 1954 in McPherson, Kansas. David was the son of Laverne and Anna (Bernd) Griffin.

David moved to the Silver Valley in 1981 and went to work for the mines. He worked for both the Bunker Hill Mine and the Sunshine Mines.

On September 6th 1975, David was united in marriage to Vicki Gillette in Oxnard, California. .

David loved the outdoors and enjoyed going hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed coaching his children’s baseball teams. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his three children; Nathan (Miriam) Griffin of Pinehurst, Idaho, Rebecca (Ryan) Lopes of Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho and Ryan Griffin of Caldwell, Idaho; six grandchildren Tyler Griffin, Owen Griffin, Cara Griffin, Claire Griffin, Peyton Lopes and Parker Lopes. He is also survived by three siblings Brenda (James) Rollins, Jerry (Carol) Griffin and Chris Griffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Vicki and brother Louis.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2015, at 4:00 P.M. at the Hunt Cemetery, Kingston, Idaho.
