David Lyle Dorton, 62, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away August 21, 2015 at his home of Kingston. He was born March 4, 1953 in Wallace, Idaho; David was the son of Chris and Wilma (Renfroe) Dorton.
David attended and graduated from the Pomeroy High School of Pomeroy, Washington in 1971. He moved to the Silver Valley in 1998 from the Coeur d’ Alene area.
David had served as a long haul truck driver and had worked for various companies for many years.
David loved and enjoyed his Harley in his younger years, playing pool, fishing and hunting.
David is survived by his mother Wilma Dorton of Pinehurst, Idaho; three daughters Kelly (Shane) Lanman of Clarkston, Washington, Jodi Brown of Clarkston, Washington and Megan Dorton of Pinehurst, Idaho; two grandchildren Avery Brown and Kole Lanman; one sister Ami (Kirk) Danekas of Post Falls, Idaho; one brother Mark (JoAnn) Dorton of Lewiston, Idaho; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. David was preceded in death by his father Chris Dorton.
A Celebration of David’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Pinehurst Lions Building of Pinehurst; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mrs. Wilma Dorton, 406 Sunset Dr., Pinehurst, Idaho 83850 to help with expenses.
