Darin Groves

Darin moved on for eternal camping with his beloved Grandpa Digs. He was born September 8, 1983 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Darin is the son of Danny and Melinda (Power) Groves.

Darin has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School of Kellogg in 2001.

Darin was a miner and had worked at the Galena and Sunshine Mines.

Darin was a member of the Wallace/Kellogg Gun Club. He loved and enjoyed hanging out with family and friends; he especially enjoyed spending time with his niece Isabel and nephew Tanner. Darin also enjoyed camping, hunting, trap shooting and playing basketball with friends.

Darin is survived by his beloved parents Danny and Melinda Groves of Wardner; his brother Jeremy (Hilary) Groves of Pinehurst; his niece Isabel Groves; his nephew Tanner Groves; paternal grandparents Louie and JoAnn Groves of Wardner; he is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and numerous close friends including Rob Figueroa, Derbs Derbyshire and Jared Williams. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Sprague C. and Betty Power.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Silver Valley Worship Center of Smelterville, Idaho. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at the Church Fellowship Hall following services.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Program, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho 83814; a program to help others as it helped Darin.
