Daniel Martin Perkins, 59, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Wallace Idaho, on February 9, 2022. Daniel was born to Billy Cagle Perkins and Collette Smith Perkins on February 17, 1962 in San Diego, California.
Daniel earned an Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouts, and loved the outdoors. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1994 at California State University, Long Beach. He went on to jobs as a youth counselor and boat mechanic for the City of San Diego. Later in life, he settled in Wallace, Idaho, working as a boat mechanic and at Napa Auto Parts.
He enjoyed outdoor activities, including fishing, riding a four-wheeler and walking his dog. He enjoyed campfires and cookouts with his friends. He loved picking and eating huckleberries. He belonged to the Elks Club. He enjoyed being in the Burke Road Band, playing rhythm guitar and doing backing vocals. Daniel loved Elvis Presley and would punctuate conversations with “Elvis!” He enjoyed reading the morning paper and doing the crossword puzzles.
Daniel is survived by two sisters, Denise Waters and Monique Tagedini, and two brothers, Steven Perkins and Victor Perkins.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Jon and Sonia Bond, for their warm friendship with Daniel during his life and for their comfort and practical support afterward.
