Christopher “Chris” Alan Butts, 48

Christopher “Chris” Alan Butts, 48, of Smelterville, Idaho, passed away November 7, 2021 at the Schneidmiller Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.  He was born August 7, 1973 in Great Bend, Kansas; Chris was the son of Wayne Alan and Donna Ruth (Moore) Butts.

Chris proudly served in the U.S. Army.  After serving in the service, he moved to the Silver Valley.

Chris was united in marriage to Christy Taylor on July 6, 1996 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.

Chris served as a heavy equipment operator for Zanetti Brothers, Inc. for fourteen years.

Chris loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and the outdoors, his dog Bella, listening to music and watching movies.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-five years Christy Butts of the family home of Smelterville, Idaho; his mother Donna Butts of Georgia; one sister Casandra Jowers of Georgia; he is also survived by two nieces Maria and Luna and one nephew Alex.  Chris was preceded in death by his father Wayne Butts and two brothers Gavin and Joe.

A Celebration of Chris’s Life will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kellogg Funeral Chapel of Kellogg.  A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held at 4:00 P.M. at the Wallace Elks; everyone is welcome.
