Carolyn Rose Slawson, 72 of Wallace, Idaho passed away on June 19, 2017 at The Schneidermiller House of Coeur d‘Alene. She was born on February 1, 1945 in Wallace; Carolyn was the daughter of Claude and Dorothy (Moison) Sink.
Carolyn grew up in the Silver Valley and lived here all of her life. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Academy K-11 and she graduated from Wallace High School.
Carolyn worked as a bartender at the Wallace Elks for many years. She also worked as a cook at Albis, Sweets Café and The Mint Café, and for the Department of Health and Welfare.
Carolyn was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace for many years and a member of the Eagles. She was a very active volunteer at the Senior Center in Wallace and at her church.
Carolyn loved reading and word puzzles. She also enjoyed playing cards. Carolyn was the organizer of family events and loved spending time with her loved ones. She dressed up as Santa every year. She also enjoyed entertaining people with her accordion.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Jennifer (Dennis) Harper of Rochester, New York and John Jordan of Wallace; her brothers George (Eileen) Sink of Kellogg and Donald Sink of Rathdrum; her sisters Kathy Flood of Mullan, Mary (Will) White of Manilla, Utah and Beth Corcione of Billings, Montana; her grandchildren Hannah and Ryleigh Harper, Blanche Skelton and Blakely Alexander; her step brothers Jack and David Lunger, and her step-mother Thelma Sink. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Laura Sink Herzog; her brothers Raymond and Randy Sink and her step sister Margie Lunger.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 11:00 A.M. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace with a luncheon in the church fellowship hall following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
