Caroles Crissy Furber, Jr., 97, of Westminster, CO and formerly of Osburn, ID, peacefully passed away on July 28, 2024, in Westminster, CO.

Caroles was born in 1927 to Caroles and Fern Furber in San Francisco, CA and grew up in the Redwood Valley. In 1950 Caroles, married his childhood sweetheart, Lita M. Together they built a family and shortly after the birth of his second daughter, Caroles, was drafted and served during the Korean War as a maintenance helper where he worked on airplanes and helicopters.

After leaving the military, Caroles supported his family by working for to the California Department of Highways where he stayed for 27 years.

Eventually, Caroles and Lita would move to Idaho to be closer to family. There he spent time teaching his grandchildren how to fish, shoot, and read via the Sunday comics. Caroles was also a skilled carpenter and enjoyed building models. Along with creating toys that have been passed down and are still enjoyed by his great grandchildren today, Caroles also built a model railroad in his basement much to the amusement of his grandson.

In 2022, Caroles moved to Westminster, CO to again be close to his family so that they could help care for him.
