Carol Ann Castle, 68, of Osburn, Idaho passed away on September 3, 2015 at the Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. She was born December 16,1946 in Wallace, Idaho. Carol was the daughter of Michael and Doris Gallo.
Carol grew up in the Silver Valley and graduated from Mullan High School in 1965.
On July 17th 1965 Carol was united in marriage to Timothy Castle in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Carol remained a devoted and loyal Wife of over 50 years. A Mother to 2 boys, who could never ask for anyone better and a Grand Mother to 5.
Carol was always the glue that held her family together throughout the years. Carol would light up the room whenever she walked in. Though small in stature, she was as strong and mighty as anyone. Never sick and always in motion, Carol was always doing something for someone other than herself until she was diagnosed with cancer in 2014. Though she was slowed for treatments, she beat that as well. During this very difficult process, her mind was never focused solely on herself. Rather, Carol always remained mindful and expressive about the well-being of everyone she knew.
Anyone that has ever interacted with Carol felt nothing but kindness and compassion. Carol was the epitome of selflessness - a living saint who was undoubtedly called away from us for a higher purpose.
Although Carol has left us early, the void is filled with so many wonderful memories, and teachings. A day will not pass without her in our thoughts and even though sorrowful, just the thought of her cannot help but make anyone smile.
Carol loved being outdoors especially working on her exceptional garden as well as doing arts and crafts. Carol had the amazing ability to make anything she touched beautiful.
Carol is survived by her husband of 50 years Timothy Castle of Osburn, Idaho; Two sons Bryan Castle of Butte, Montana and Eric Castle of Parker, Colorado and 5 Grandchildren; Henry Castle, Haley Castle, and Nathan Castle from Bryan and Lori Castle, and Buster and Walker Castle from Eric and Patricia Castle.
