Carla Story

Carla Renea Story, 44 of Smelterville Idaho, passed away March 11, 2021 at her home in Smelterville, Idaho. She was born December 6, 1976 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Carla moved to the Silver Valley in 1995 with her family and has called it home ever since.

Carla enjoyed writing poetry, singing and taking pictures. She also enjoyed traveling to the ocean and spending time with her family. In 2011 Carla was united in marriage to Jesse Story Sr. in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Carla spent many years as a care giver for her brother Bobby until his untimely passing in 2015.

Carla is survived by her husband Jesse Story Sr, her children Skylar Risley, Autumn Bailey and Jesse Story Jr.; siblings Bret Clausing, Jeremy and Elise Smith and Cathy Pearson. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Alexus, Katie, Becca, Chris, Meagan, Joshua, Logan, Cloey, Ethan, Austin and Lilianne.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Simmerman and Jack Smith; her brothers Brian and Bobby and her nephew JJ.

Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
