Brian Douglas Christie, 76
Brian Douglas Christie of Osburn, Idaho, passed away December 30, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society-Silver Wood Village of Silverton, Idaho. He was born December 1, 1940 in Spokane, Washington; Brian was the son of Leonard and Ann (Magera) Christie.
Brian attended and graduated from the Anaconda High School of Anaconda, Montana. He also attended college.
Brian served in the U.S. Air Force as a cryptographer.
Brian had lived in Hot Springs, Montana since 1966 and then moved to the Silver Valley in the summer of 2006.
Brian had served as a miner at the Lucky Friday Mine and the Galena Mine.
Brian was very intelligent and had been asked to be a member of the Mensa I.Q. Organization; he was a man of God and was very friendly and kind-hearted. Brian loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed reading- he had owned over 6,000 books. Brian also enjoyed garage sales and riding his bicycle.
Brian is survived by his life-long friend and brother in Christ- Dan & Josie Thompson of Osburn, Idaho; two brothers Gary & Linda Christie of Woodland Park, Colorado; Arney & Sharon Wick of Post Falls, Idaho; he is also survived by adopted nieces and nephews Andrew & Angela Thompson of Osburn, Idaho, David Thompson of Billings, Montana, James & Heather Oak of Montana, Isaac Thompson of Osburn, Idaho, Rita & Emmett Bowlby of Pinehurst, Idaho and Barbara Thompson of Oregon; Brian is also survived by thirteen great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two adopted nephews-Paul and Jacob Thompson.
Cremation will be held and upon his request no services will be held.
