Beloved grandmother and great-grandmother, Betsy Christine Rullman, 92, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away March 1, 2015 at her home in Wallace. She was born November 13, 1922 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; Betsy was the daughter of Christian and Alice (Torgler) Bernhard.
Betsy attended and graduated from the Wallace High School of Wallace. She then attended the University of Idaho, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Betsy married Dale E. Rullman on September 17, 1943 in Wallace; Dale passed away on November 24, 1995.
Betsy had first served as a secretary for the Hecla Mining Company for several years. She then served as a legal secretary for Charles E. Horning, Attorney At Law, of Wallace for many years; Betsy then retired.
Betsy had been a member of the Wallace Ladies Bowling League, a member of the Shoshone Golf Club and was an avid supporter and member of the University of Idaho Vandal Boosters; Betsy also was a member of a Ladies Bridge Club.
Betsy loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, golfing, trips to Hawaii and spending summers at the Coeur d’ Alene Lake place.
Betsy is survived by two grandsons Chris (Shannon) Rullman of Castle Rock, Colorado; Mike Rullman of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; three great-grandchildren Jake, Olivia and Madeline Rullman of Castle Rock, Colorado. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, her son Bruce Rullman and one great-grandson.
Cremation will be held and A Celebration of Betsy’s Life will be held at a later date.
