Barbara Clapp

Barbara Jean (Adam) Clapp, 79, of Osburn, ID, our loving wife,mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 4, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society – Silverwood Village in Silverton, ID.

Barb was born March 18, 1943 in Wallace, ID to the late John and Thelma Adam. A lifelong resident of the Silver Valley, “Bobby” (as she was known in her younger years) graduated from Wallace High School, Class of 1961. Shortly thereafter, after meeting George Clapp, the two were married in September of 1961.

Barb loved her family dearly. She dedicated herself to raising her family and babysitting her grandsons. She was very active with The March of Dimes as the chairperson for many years.

In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Clapp.

Barb is survived by her loving husband, George Clapp of Osburn, ID; daughter Lisa (Shawn) Ellison of Coeur d’Alene, ID; son, Bruce (Angela) Clapp of Lewiston, ID; 4 grandchildren, Derek Ellison of Seattle, WA, Connor (Bryce) Ellison of Post Falls, and AnnaLia and Gabriella Clapp of Lewiston, ID; and 2 great-grandchildren, Ava and Bennett Ellison.

A celebration of Barb’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 1:00 PM at her daughter’s residence in Coeur d’Alene, ID. Please contact the family for address and any information.
