Arvilla Ethel Ogden, 97 of Kellogg, Idaho passed away on June 29, 2015 with her husband by her side at the Good Samaritan Society in Silverton. Arvilla was born November 9, 1917 in Fleming, Colorado; she was the daughter of William Earl and Ella Mae (Brown) Wood.

On May 2, 1936 Arvilla was united in marriage to Glen Ogden at Hot Springs in South Dakota. This year they celebrated 79 years of marriage.

Arvilla and Glen moved to Southern Idaho in 1939 from Nebraska. They moved to Kellogg in 1947. Arvilla was a homemaker, raising five children here in the Silver Valley.

In Arvilla’s free time she enjoyed going bowling, camping and dancing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Arvilla is survived by her husband Glen Ogden Sr of Kellogg; her children Jim Ogden of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jerry Ogden of Frederick, Colorado and Terry (Avis) Ogden of Kennewick, Washington, and sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings Ellen (Bill) Gutterridge and Bill Wood of New Plymouth, Idaho and Jim (Nettie) Wood of Grangeville, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Sharon Sauer, her son Glen Ogden Jr, her siblings Mona, Genevieve, Oliver, Wayne and Vern, and daughter-in-law Jean Ogden.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 3, at 4:00PM at the Silver Valley Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Art Fleming officiating.
