Allen Edward Everett, 79

Allen Edward Everett, 79, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away July 2, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society- Silver Wood Village of Silverton.  He was born November 26, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois; Allen was the son of Victor Edward and Faye Iva (Thomas) Everett.

Allen attended and graduated from the Fort Lupton High School of Fort Lupton, Colorado.  He proudly served as a corporal in the U.S. Marines.

Allen moved to the Silver Valley in 1998 from South Dakota.

Allen bred and raised greyhound dogs in Phoenix, Arizona.  And when moving to South Dakota, he served as owner and operator of Allen Everett Kennels, raising and training greyhounds.

Allen was a member of the American Legion of Post Falls, Idaho.  He loved and enjoyed wood-working, gardening, reading and music of all kinds; Allen was a concert pianist and had served as a bugler while serving in the Marines.

Allen is survived by his loving companion of forty years Gina Leitte of Pinehurst, Idaho.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Vicki Jo Everett.

Allen, you were loved so very much and will be dearly missed.  But we know you are with Jesus now and resting peacefully.

A Celebration of Allen’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 24th, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. at the Pinehurst Baptist Church (Pinehurst Lions Building), with Pastor Don White officiating.  A reception will be held at the church following services; this will be potluck and everyone is welcome.
