Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Alice “Jean” McCorkle, 74, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away July 19, 2014 at the Hospice House of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born May 3, 1940 in Stites, Idaho; Jean was the daughter of Woodrow and Mina (Ulmer) Kinnick.

Jean moved to the Silver Valley with her family as a young girl. She attended schools in Wallace. Jean married Everett Raymond McCorkle on February 23, 1957 in Wallace; Everett passed away on August 24, 2011.

Jean had first worked as a meat wrapper in the meat departments of Steins of Osburn, The Food Center of Wallace and in the meat department and office of the Combination Food Liner of Wallace. She then served as a bus driver for the Wallace School District #393 for fourteen years plus.

Jean was a member of a Silver Valley Quilting Group; she loved and enjoyed her family, quilting, crafts, camping and fishing. Jean and her husband Everett loved spending their winters in Yuma, Arizona.

Jean is survived by two children Everett “Wayne” (Jill) McCorkle of Prichard-Wallace, Idaho; Marilyn Hinsz and her companion Casey Stoddard of Osburn, Idaho; three grandchildren Chad Everett McCorkle, Jessica Meidinger and Kyle Hinsz; five great-grandchildren Kaden, Lauren and Brooklyn Meidinger and Addison and Charlotte McCorkle; one sister Irene Graham of Priest River, Idaho; two brothers Jim Kinnick of Kellogg and Ed Kinnick of Moorcroft, Wyoming. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Everett Raymond McCorkle and one daughter Velva Jo McCorkle.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mountain View Congregational Church of Kellogg; a reception/luncheon will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services and everyone is welcome.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to Hospice House, Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 Government Way, Hayden, Idaho 83835.
